  • Lucy James

Registered Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner

    Founding Director

Lucy is an AHPRA-registered Chinese medicine practitioner (BHSc). They have undertaken additional post graduate studies in Chinese medicine for gynaecology and obstetrics, menopause and allied health care for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Lucy is a trained yoga instructor, and taught in the Macedon Ranges for many years prior to founding Little Window. Through their engagement with community and raising their own young family, it was Chinese medicine that offered a system of medicine that worked with prevention rather than cure.

It is not uncommon for individuals to seek East Asian therapies when the biomedical system has failed them, and Lucy welcomes those that are seeking a second opinion or are willing to delve into their health from the ground up. Lucy is deeply passionate about exploring all possibilities for improved health outcomes while taking an integrative approach to healthcare.

Lucy takes a hands-on approach in their treatment style, where they invite patients to participate in their body’s natural healing mechanisms, whether through bodywork, acupuncture, ancillary techniques, herbs or a combination.

Lucy has a particular interest in gynaecology, complex pain conditions and respiratory health.

Lucy loves to move and find ways to educate and support patients in their own fitness and movement patterns. When they’re not waxing lyrical about herbs and acupuncture, Lucy continues their crusade to find the best regional waterholes, play in the kitchen and lift heavy things with their mates a the gym.

    Lucy practises:

    Tuesdays 1.30 PM - 8.00 PM | KYNETON

    Wednesdays 9.00 AM - 4.00 PM | BRUNSWICK

    Fridays 10 AM - 3.00 PM | KYNETON

  • Jenness Ray

    Admin Support, Scheduling Tetris Wizard

Jenness has been a well known and loved Kyneton local for 10 years. Originally from WA, friendships and community pulled her to the region, and in no time settled into being one of the few folk in the area who loves cold air of the Macedon Ranges!

Jenness has a background in hospitality and events, and is passionate about the people-facing aspect of managing Little Window's reception.

Jenness is the brains behind our schedule management and is your go-to if you need to shift your appointments, ask a question or get some recommendations on which practitioner to see.

She looks after us all, folds towels in record time and reminds us to snack and go to the toilet when we are busy!

Jenness loves the fundamentals and practise of Chinese medicine and is a firm advocate of naps, eggplant on rice and a really good mandarin. When she's not balancing the Little Window phone with other projects, she likes long country drives, quiet time at home, British crime and drawing.

Jenness tends to the phone on Monday afternoons and you'll find her in the clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays, offering you a cuppa, helping to prepare your herbs and sort out your appointment schedule.
